Inspired by punk and dadaism, this alternative coffee branding makes the most of using only two spot inks per package.
the brief was to design graphics for a supplied carton containing a product of our choosing inside. the main constraint was a limitation of 2 spot inks per package.

the designs turn this restriction into a strength. overprint and knockout techniques are employed to great effect for a highly dynamic, engaging, and eye-catching suite of packages.
each package, one each for a different type of roast, explore a wild and sardonic visualisation of famous pop-culture quotes. each of the quotes acts as a mantra for consumers to think about when drinking their morning coffee.

as vessels to deliver the message, pop-culture icons were chosen for their recognisability and role-model qualities, giving the mantras a subliminal sense of idealism to consumers.
